Past Due Fees

Students with financial holds for past due fees will NOT be able to access the following services (Title 5, Section 59410):
  • Registration Privileges (adding/dropping)
  • Transcript Requests (Official and Unofficial)
  • Enrollment Verification Requests
Once the term has started, to prevent being blocked from further registration activity, and access to the above services, we strongly recommend immediate payment upon registration.

Other Important Facts Regarding Past Due Fees
  • Past due fees must be paid in full immediately upon registration. Partial payments are NOT accepted under any circumstances.
  • Past due fees are accepted in person if paid by cash, money order, or cashier’s check. Temporary checks are not accepted.
  • Credit Card payments and personal checks are accepted online via MyChaffeyVIEW. We accept VISA and MasterCard.
  • Returned payments due to insufficient funds, invalid account number entry, or stopping payment on a check or credit card does NOT constitute withdrawal from classes and will result in a $25.00 charge and a financial block on your account.
  • Failure to pay any outstanding balances will result in the student’s name being submitted to the Franchise Tax Board for collection of any balance owed to Chaffey College.
  • Students will be charged for classes they are enrolled in, even if they never attend any class meetings. It is the student’s responsibility to ensure all classes are dropped by the appropriate refund deadline to avoid being charged. DO NOT rely on an instructor to drop you from class(es).
Critical Payment Deadline Information for Financial Aid students
  • If you register and then get a BOG waiver PRIOR to your payment deadline you will not be deregistered. To ensure that your BOG waiver has been applied to your account, please view your award online via MyChaffeyVIEW. Be sure to print your Registration Receipt to verify the itemized list of charges.
  • BOG waiver students only pay for parking, material fees, and College service fees. Once the term has started, it is important that any outstanding fees are paid at the time of registration to avoid being blocked from further registration activity or access to other services.
  • If you are being billed for enrollment fees, the 10-Day payment deadline will apply to you.
  • For questions regarding your financial aid award, please contact the Financial Aid Office during office hours.
