MANAGEMENT Agreements MUST be renewed each semester
Chaffey College is now offering the NBS Automatic
Monthly Payment Plan (from the Nelnet Company) as an alternative
to a direct payment by cash, check or credit card. This service must be renewed each semester.
NBS enables you to pay your tuition in monthly installments if you
meet either the following criteria:
You are a credit student for the summer, fall or spring semesters
and have incurred tuition fees.
Depending on when you register for classes and submit your Nelnet/MyPaymentPlan Payment Agreement, either of the following payment
plans may apply.
Monthly payments only
An immediate down payment followed by monthly payments
There are no interest or finance charges assessed, but a $30 fee will be charged for all returned payments. The only fee involved
is the NBS non-refundable enrollment fee of $20 per semester.
NBS will automatically deduct the funds from a checking or savings
account, MasterCard, Visa, Discover Card, or American Express. This service must be renewed each semester.
Additional NBS Information
If an invalid account number is supplied or any monthly payment is returned by the supplied bank prior to the start of the term, the payment plan with NBS will be terminated and the student's classes may be dropped.
If an invalid account number is supplied or any monthly payment is returned by the supplied bank once the term begins, the payment plan with NBS will be terminated and there will be a hold placed on the student's record until the balance is cleared in full.
If there are any changes made to the student's Chaffey College account including but not limited to adding and/or dropping classes, obtaining the BOGW Financial Aid Fee Waiver, or updating your residency status, it is the student's responsibility to notify the Cashier's Office to adjust the payment plan agreement. Failure to do so can result in the continued incorrect payment amount deduction and/or a remaining balance once all agreed payments have been made. Please note: Payments are processed on the 5th and 20th of each month, a minimum of 5 business days prior to the processing date is required for all changes to ensure proper payment deduction.
No student will be eligible to use the NBS payment plan option if either Chaffey College or NBS terminates two agreements due to invalid account information or returned payments.
Be sure to have the following information when you enroll:
7-digit student ID number as assigned by Chaffey College. Your initial
password for NBS is your date of birth (MM/DD/YY). Include the slashes
in the birth date.
The name, address and e-mail of the person responsible for making
the payments.
Account information for the person responsible for payment.
If paying by automatic bank payments, you will need the bank name,
telephone number, account number, and the bank routing number. Most
of this information is located on your check.
If paying by credit card, you will need the credit card number
and expiration date.
To protect your privacy, you will need to create your own unique NBS
password after your initial login. Please be sure it is something you
can easily remember.
