Daily Drop Process

Students will be allowed 10 calendar days (including weekends and holidays) from date of registration to submit payment. During the last 10 days of registration, all fees are due prior to the start of the term. If payment is not submitted, all classes will be dropped.

If students register within less than 10 days from the first day of the term, they will have until Sunday prior to the start of the term to submit payment, or they will be deregistered on Sunday. (* Note: If your payment date falls on a Sunday, we highly recommend that you pay BEFORE Sunday, as this day may be reserved for scheduled maintenance, and your payment may not go through which would cause you to be dropped from classes).

Refer to the Payment Chart for your payment due date.

The following groups will NOT be deregistered:
  • BOG waiver recipients (only if the BOG has been applied to the student account at time of registration. If a student registers and then gets the BOG within 10 days of registration, they will not be deregistered. BOG waiver students will be blocked from registration on the 1st day of the term if payment is not received for materials, health fees, and college service fee). (Please read below under Critical Payment Deadline Information for Financial Aid Students)

  • Students enrolled in the deferred payment plan

  • Third-Party billing (sponsor-paid students)

  • International Students (Non-sponsored International students will be blocked on first day of instruction for past due fees)

Registration & Payment Expectation on First Day of Instruction and Thereafter

Beginning on the first day of instruction, students must pay fees upon registration. If payment is not received on the same day, students' accounts will be blocked with a financial hold. (See MyChaffeyVIEW hours of operation).

Past Due Fees

Students with financial holds for past due fees will NOT be able to access the following services (Title 5, Section 59410):
  • Registration Privileges (adding/dropping)

  • Transcript Requests (Official and Unofficial)

  • Enrollment Verification Requests

  • Purchase Parking Permits

  • Photo ID requests

  • Library and/or laboratory privileges
Once the term has started, to prevent being blocked from further registration activity, and access to the above services, we strongly recommend immediate payment upon registration.

Critical Payment Deadline Information for Financial Aid students
  • If you register and then get a BOG waiver PRIOR to your payment deadline you will not be deregistered. To ensure that your BOG waiver has been applied to your account, please view your award online via MyChaffeyVIEW. Be sure to print your Registration Receipt to verify the itemized list of charges.

  • BOG waiver students only pay for parking, material fees, and College service fees. Once the term has started, it is important that any outstanding fees are paid at the time of registration to avoid being blocked from further registration activity or access to other services.

  • If you are being billed for enrollment fees, the 10-Day payment deadline will apply to you.

  • For questions regarding your financial aid award, please contact the Financial Aid Office during office hours in person or at 909/652-6199.

Do you need access to a computer?

Computer stations are available in the Student Services Administration building for students who need access to a computer to submit payment and/or other online services.
