Head
Coach - Men's Water Polo

Coach Chris Carlson is currently in his first season as head coach of the Men's Water Polo Team. He brings with him over two decades of coaching experience working with age group athletes, high school players, and two seasons coaching the Cadet Olympic Development group.  His most recent assignment has been as the Head Coach at Beaumont High School where he has spent the last eight years and where he currently teaches.

Throughout his tenure coaching high school water polo, Coach Carlson has won 18 League Championships and three CIF Section Titles in five Finals appearances.  He was also named CIF Coach of the Year on four occasions.  Coach Carlson has produced 12 high school All Americans, along with five of his athletes earning CIF Players of the Year honors. 

He met his wife Janelle 31 years ago while earning a Bachelor of Science degree from BYU – Hawaii.  Coach Carlson is proud to be an “old school” product of Los Altos High School in Hacienda Heights.
