Angel Duran ANGEL DURAN SOUTH COAST CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE YEAR (11/21/14)
Freshman goalkeeper Angel Duran captured the South Coast Conference Player of the Year distinction this week after leading the conference all season on saves. Duran led the Panthers to Chaffey College's first South Coast Conference championship and a fourth place regional finish.
NINE LADY PANTHERS HONORED AS ALL-SOUTH COAST CONFERENCE (11/21/14)
Congratulations to Angel Duran, Heather Barba, Allison Bartosik, Erika Obdam, Salena Zapata, Ruby Zarate, Grace Hollingsworth, Audrey Poet and Taylor Paulson, for being named to the 2014 All-South Coast Conference team.
Jenn Moon Spalding SPALDING NAMED SOUTH COAST CONFERENCE COACH OF THE YEAR (11/21/14)
In her third year at the lead of Panther Women's Water Polo, Head Coach Jennifer Moon-Spalding was named South Coast Conference Coach of the Year, leading her team to a 10-1 season, conference championship, and fourth place regional finish.
PANTHERS FINISH SEASON 4TH IN THE SOUTH (11/17/14)
After competing in the 2014 Southern California Regional Championships last weekend, the Lady Panthers finished their season #4 in the highly competitive Southern Region. The ladies toppled San Diego Mesa Friday 5-2 to advance to Saturday's Final Four rounds. Saturday, the ladies fought admirably but eventually fell to #1 Fullerton 17-5 forcing a conference rivalry rematch with Mt SAC. The ladies finish the season with a 24-10 overall record and South Coast Conference Champions.
2014 Water Polo Championships#5 SEEDED PANTHERS TO TAKE ON SD MESA FRIDAY AT REGIONALS (11/12/14)
The Chaffey women advance to the Southern CA Regionals this week in the #5 position, taking on #4 San Diego Mesa at 9am. The championship series will be played at Citrus.
2014 South Coast Conference ChampionsPANTHERS CLAIM FIRST SOUTH COAST CONFERENCE TITLE WITH SWEEP AT SCC CHAMPIONSHIPS (11/8/14)
Congratulations to Head Coach Jennifer Moon-Spalding and the Women's Water Polo team for sweeping the South Coast Conference Championships - defeating East Los Angeles, Long Beach and Mt SAC. The ladies will advance to the Souther California Regionals November 12-15.
Angel Duran PANTHERS DEFEAT ELAC AND RIO HONDO (10/30/14)
The ladies hosted East LA and Rio Hondo yesterday, defeating both to remain in second place in the South Coast Conference. Against Rio Hondo, the Panthers were led by Allison Bartosik and Erika Obdam with three goals each. Angel Duran continued her impressive reign at goalie with 17 saves against the Roadrunners. Against ELAC, the team of Zapata and Zarate scored three each. Duran had an additional 11 saves for the evening. The team enters the South Coast Conference Championships in second place against Mt SAC. The championship series will be held next weekend at Rio Hondo.
PANTHERS STRUGGLE AT BATTLE AT THE BEACH (10/27/14)
The ladies went 1-3 last weekend at Long Beach City College's Annual Battle at the Beach Tournament, falling to San Diego Mesa, Fullerton, and Cuesta before beating Ventura in the final round. The team resumes conference play Wednesday at home against East LA and Rio Hondo.
Allison Bartosik LADIES DEFEAT LA TRADE TECH BY 20 (10/23/14)
The Lady Panthers earned another conference win yesterday, defeating LA Trade Tech 24-4. Allison Bartosik led the Panthers with four goals. Grace Hollingsworth, Heather Barba, and Briana Chavarria had three each. Lindsey Brown defended the goal with 12 saves. The ladies will participate in the Annual Battle at the Beach Tournament this weekend at Long Beach City College.
Angel Duran PANTHERS GO 3-1 AT CITRUS TOURNEY (10/20/14)
The ladies went 3-1 last weekend at Citrus including a 21-0 shutout of Santa Monica and decisive wins over Pierce and LA Valley. Their only loss came from Mesa, 7-8. Salena Zapata led the women in scoring with 14 goals across the 4 games. Allison Bartosik followed with 9. Angel Duran shared the cage over the weekend. Duran earned 29 saves, Lindsey Badder added 1 and Sarah Tritt had four (in addition to two goals). The ladies continue South Coast play Wednesday at LA Trade Tech.
Selena Zapata LADIES FALL TO MT SAC IN BATTLE FOR SOUTH COAST DOMINANCE (10/16/14)
The ladies fought hard yesterday in a battle of the best of the South Coast Conference, ultimately falling to Mt SAC 8-6. Salena Zapata continued to lead the Panther offense with four goals. Taylor Paulson and Allison Bartosik added one each. Angel Duran had two assists and 10 saves. The team plays at the Citrus Tournament this weekend.
Selena Zapata LADIES REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE (10/9/14)
The ladies hosted Pasadena City College yesterday, defeating the Lancers 17-3. Salena Zapata led the Panthers with four goals. Erika Obdam added three goals. Audrey Poet, Ruby Zarate, Allison Bartosik, Joslyn Cuevas, Heather Barba, Briana Chavarria, and Kaitlyn Brown added to the tally. Angel Duran had 10 saves in the cage. The ladies continue their quest for a South Coast Conference championship Wednesday at home, taking on the only other undefeated team, Mt SAC, at 3 pm.
Selena Zapata PANTHERS CAPTURE MESA TOURNEY CHAMPIONSHIP (10/7/14)
The ladies defeated teams from Miramar, Grossmont, Citrus and Southwestern last weekend to capture the San Diego Mesa Tournament Championship and improve their record to 11-3. Salena Zapata led the Lady Panthers with 14 goals across 4 games. Grace Holligsworth added seven. Paulson, Bartosik, Barba, Zarate, Tritt, Chavarria, and Poet all scored for the Panther squad. Angel Duran had an impressive 55 saves, holding off four teams to capture the tournament championship. The ladies take on Pasadena tomorrow afternoon at home in continued South Coast Conference action.
Audrey Poet LADY PANTHERS DEFEAT EL CAMINO BY 10 (10/2/14)
The ladies continue to dominate the conference season with a win over El Camino 14-4. Audrey Poet and Salena Zapata led the Panther offense with three goals each. Grace Hollingsworth added two. Ruby Zarate, Joslyn Cuevas, Heather Barba, Briana Chavarria, Erika Obdam, and Kaitlyn Brown each added one goal. Angel Duran defended the goal with 7 saves. The ladies remain undefeated in the South Coast Conference and will resume conference play next Wednesday against Pasadena City College. This weekend, the ladies travel to San Diego Mesa for tournament play.
Selena Zapata PANTHERS REMAIN UNDEFEATED IN CONFERENCE (9/25/14)
The ladies took on Long Beach yesterday, defeating the Vikings 7-2 to remain undefeated in South Coast Conference play. Salena Zapata led the Lady Panthers with 5 goals. Allison Bartosik and Heather Barba added one each. Angel Duran had 16 saves to hold the Vikings to two goals. The ladies take on El Camino on October 1st in continued conference action.
Angel Duran LADY PANTHERS 2-2 AT CHAFFEY TOURNAMENT (9/22/14)
The ladies hosted the 12 th Annual Chaffey Tournament last weekend - hosting teams from Riverside, Cypress, San Diego Mesa, Fresno, Cerritos, Ventura, and East LA. On day one, the Panthers defeated Cypress 9-5 before falling to San Diego Mesa 7-4. On day two, the ladies fell to RCC 9-3 and defeated ELAC 14-2. Angel Duran had an impressive 42 saves across the 4 games, including 19 against RCC. Salena Zapata led the Panther offense with 8 goals in 4 games. The ladies take on Long Beach Wednesday.
Heather Barba LADIES 1-0 IN SOUTH COAST CONFERENCE PLAY (9/18/14)
The Lady Panthers opened the 2013 conference season with a 12-4 win over Cerritos. Heather Barba and Erika Obdam led the Panthers with 3 goals each. Grace Hollingsworth (2), Salenda Zapata (2), Ruby Zarate, and Taylor Paulson added to the win. Angel Duran defended the goal with 10 saves. The team hosts the 12th Annual Chaffey Tournament this weekend.

LADIES OPEN 2014 SEASON WITH 3RD PLACE FINISH AT SADDLEBACK (9/15/14)
The ladies opened the 2014 season last weekend with a 3-1 finish at the Saddleback Tournament, capturing the 3rd place position. Friday, the team defeated Southwestern (9-1) and Ventura 10-3). On Saturday, the ladies fell to Grossmont (7-3) before meeting up with Ventura again to battle for 3rd place. Against Ventura, the Lady Panthers dominated the pool for the 2nd time in 24 hours, sending the Pirates off with an 11-4 loss.
